Pokot Women Empowerment Programme (POWEO) is Community Based women organisation registered in Kenya in 2013.

POWEO’s strategy and approach of working with women, girls and youth envision a society that is all inclusive and where people live and are treated with dignity.  POWEO maintains close links with its initial partners AAIK which has continued supporting some of POWEO’s activities over the years. 

Starting 2013, POWEO has since expanded its programme activities to service of girls and youth. POWEO’s vision is Women, Girls and Youth inclusive society POWEO’s mission is to empower and support Pokot Women, Girls and Youth realise their rights that will be respected and valued by the community.
