The ASAL Humanitarian Network (AHN) is a coalition of 30 community-rooted and nationally recognized organizations working across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands. These members form the backbone of the network—mobilizing localized responses, influencing policy, building institutional capacity, and advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable communities in some of the country’s most underserved areas. Their representation spans more than 14 counties and brings a wealth of thematic knowledge across humanitarian, development, peacebuilding, and climate action sectors.
AHN members lead with context-specific insight, proven operational capacity, and unwavering commitment to accountability. Whether responding to emergencies, driving systemic change, or advancing women-led and youth-focused solutions, our members ensure the localization agenda is not just aspirational—but practical, measurable, and transformative.
