ASAL Humanitarian Network (AHN)

Driving Change Through Policy and Community Action

Current Projects

Our projects connect community priorities with actionable policy solutions, empowering ASAL communities and strengthening local organizations to create lasting, measurable change.

Desert Landscape

The ASAL Humanitarian Network’s current projects focus on building the capacity of member organizations to influence policy, coordinate advocacy, and ensure that the voices of communities in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands are consistently represented in decision-making forums. These initiatives work to close the gap between local realities and the priorities reflected in legislative and policy frameworks.

Through structured collaboration, targeted campaigns, and evidence-based strategies, AHN enables its members to engage meaningfully with government, development partners, and other stakeholders. Each project is anchored in inclusivity, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of ASAL communities are firmly embedded in humanitarian and development agendas.
