Our volunteering and internship opportunities provide hands-on experience in humanitarian and development work while supporting the mission of AHN and its members.
The ASAL Humanitarian Network offers volunteering and internship opportunities to individuals seeking to contribute their skills and gain practical experience in humanitarian action, advocacy, and development programming. Participants work alongside experienced professionals, supporting initiatives that strengthen community resilience and promote inclusive policy solutions in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands.
These opportunities help build professional capacity, expand networks, and deepen understanding of locally led humanitarian systems. Volunteers and interns engage in meaningful assignments that align with their skills and interests, contributing to projects implemented through AHN member organizations. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, ensuring that suitable candidates are matched with available placements.
